To the Most Holy Pontiff of the Church of Light and Dark,
As well to the Master that Arch Mages refer to when seeking wisdom, the great and terrible Slayer of Mountains,
This identical missive is sent to you both, and I am sorry if that means the Pontifex recieves additional copies as per the will of the Gods of Light. The noble and ‘Most Trusted’ among the chancellor’s in service to the great slayer did return our inquiry about the death of late King Sunder Blackrock.
While I admit my time in traveling the world seems short, I have seen only three remarkable institutions:
‡ the Church of Light and Dark,
‡ the Western Empire,
‡ and closest to my heart because of personal experience there, the Timiro Kingdom.
When this ends up in a Books of CrIsis I would ask the reader to remember anyone not mentioned is not an intended slight. Moving on.
Valid questions were asked and I am requesting that what is left of the body of the Fire Giant King be remanded to the custody of the Western Empire under one Bondrake Earthseeker. Please tally the cost of such an endeavor and when we return to Sekti-Abtu I shall craft scrolls to cover and exceed the cost by 10 percent. I am fairly certain this form of exchange would be valuable since a single scroll of Call Lightning made at my full power would out strip ANYTHING a Cyclops might craft. I have other spells I can provide as scrolls that could replace the damage of a squad of Cyclops equipped soldiers.
On the basis that my trade of services would be acceptable to the church I will do my best to answer the questions of the fair, honorable, and most trusted, Bondrake Earthseeker.
‡ What piece is held by you?
While I was not present when Khonsu’s Reaper came to collect his trophy of the Giant King I took the upper left and upper right arm bones to be fashioned into a flail fitting for Osiris’ Unyelding Strength to use as a tool for enforcing the will of the Lawgiver.
‡ How was he taken from his Home in the Land of the Giants?
Please excuse my answering the questions in a different order from which they were asked but I feel it will explain the chain of events better. CrIsis had marched across the Nimro Kingdom and made a three pronged “trident style” frontal assault against Blackrock Stronghold upon Mount Nimrod. In order to retrieve the Lawgiver’s Left Arm. As though I had a hidden playing card up my sleeve, using the a fair bit of luck and the guiding nature of the Lawgiver’s Finger. I teleported our strike team into the very throne room and suprised the Giant King. I then engaged the king in single combat to get close to him and the arm of the Lawgiver. Before anyone in the throne room or just outside could come to his aid I teleported the group and the late King Sunder to Sekti-Abtu. It is here we finished the battle.
‡ How was he slain?
Once we had arrived in Sekti-Abtu our strike team assaulted the lone fire giant king. It was Khonsu’s Reaper that landed the killing blow fulling a promise he made to Emperor Voelkian Itomas II in person during some peace talks held in New Crests earlier.
‡ Why is he buried in Sekti-Abtu?
I am sure the prior answers to the previous two questions naturally lead into this one now. It is because he died here and that is why I am having him transferred to your custody and ownership so it can be used to help bring peace to the land frought with civil war. Who could deny the leader that put the plans in motion by his remark to Khonsu’s Reaper. A remark that has laid low the enemy of so many peoples of Palladium.
It is our hope that CrIsis has provided the Slayer and his benevolent leader the means to help bring peace to their land by answering these questions and giving you access to any physical proof you require. May the Gods of Light shine their grace upon you and all good peoples of the western lands.

You tell ‘em, Xerx’ses!
Will be interesting to see the first time Xerx’ses comes across a Cyclops that has read the book this is in…. quite the insult- I liked it.
Well, hopefully this leads to some “Peace In Our Time”. I hope, but don’t hang my hat on it so to speak. I guess it just depends on how old the fight really is and what the value of peace means to those involved.
